I grew up in Schleswig-Holstein. The nature right outside my doorstep has always been a place where I love to spend time outdoors. One day, I took my first camera with me and began my first steps in wildlife filmmaking.

I am fascinated by the interconnectedness of everything in nature, and this is exactly what I try to make visible through my camera work. This passion led me to study biology in Kiel. During my studies, I received my first small filmmaking commissions from the Stiftung Naturschutz Schleswig-Holstein.

Through the GreenScreen Festival in Eckernförde, I gradually moved into television wildlife filmmaking and had my first opportunities to work on professional productions. Today, I have contributed to various television documentaries such as Our Seas and Magical France. You can find an overview of the films I have worked on HERE.

My goal is to capture and convey authentic animal behaviour. It is not always about the big stories, but sometimes about the small wonders in the details. Today, camera technology not only helps me create compelling images, but also allows me to keep a respectful distance from the animals and observe their everyday lives without disturbance.

Since last year, I have been sharing my discoveries and observations on YouTube. The focus is on these small wonders, but also on behind-the-scenes insights into wildlife filmmaking. I would be happy if you join me on this journey.
